The third One UI 5.0 beta firmware for the Galaxy S22 is now rolling out!

A recent Samsung Member community post suggested that the next beta version of One UI 5.0 has been delayed to Friday, but this may only apply to certain markets. In fact, the third beta One UI 5.0 firmware has just started rolling out for Exynos-powered Galaxy S22 models across Europe, or at least in some European countries, including Germany and Poland.

The last four digits in the third One UI 5.0 beta firmware number are ZVI9. The latest update adds an immersive new slideshow style story feature in Gallery and a slightly redesigned wallpaper selection screen. And the lock screen wallpaper can now be changed directly from the lock screen with a long press. (through @Vetrox360)

New Galaxy S22 beta update should fix animations

As usual, beta participants can expect more bug fixes across the board, and according to the changelog, the third One UI 5.0 release should improve the home screen return animation and the overlapping animation when closing folders.

Another bug that seems to be squashed prevents apps from exiting when users use UI navigation gestures when running multiple apps on the lock screen. And the Calendar widget transparency issue has also been addressed.

You must be a One UI beta participant to download this new firmware update on your Galaxy S22. Otherwise, you will have to wait for Samsung to release the first public version. As for when that might happen, only Samsung knows, but we’ll keep you posted.
