Dynamic Island Expected to Extend to All iPhone 15 Models

Apple plans to expand Dynamic Island to all four iPhone 15 models released next year, according to the often accurate display industry analyst Ross Young. The feature is currently exclusive to the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

In he tweets, Young said he expects Dynamic Island to be available on the standard iPhone 15 model next year. However, he still doesn’t expect the standard iPhone 15 model to be equipped with an LTPO display, suggesting that the device will continue to lack ProMotion support and always-on display options like the Pro models have.

The Dynamic Island is a pill-shaped area that surrounds the Face ID sensor and front camera on the iPhone 14 Pro models. The feature can display system alerts for things like incoming phone calls and Face ID authentication requests, and it will also work with Live Activity in third-party apps when iOS 16.1 is released later this year.

In the past, Young has accurately revealed that the 14-inch and 16-inch iPhone 13 Pro and MacBook Pro models will feature ProMotion, that the sixth-generation iPad mini will come with an 8.3-inch display, and that the new MacBook Air will have a 13.6-inch display. slightly larger ones, and more, gave him a very successful track record.
