At gamescom 2022, Corsair had a real highlight up its sleeve, namely the Corsair Xeneon Flex 45WQHD240 OLED monitor. The special feature of this monitor presented together with LG Display are the two handles on the side, you can bend the monitor with them and so a flat monitor becomes a monitor with 800R curvature.

I was amazed when I saw the gaming monitor at gamescom. I wondered about the two handles on the side and asked what they were used for and the PR manager came and turned the flat monitor into a curved monitor.

Now some technical data, here we have a 21:9 45-inch monitor that is equipped with a new flexible OLED from LG Display. The resolution is 3440 x 1440 pixels and we have here a refresh rate of 240 Hz with a grey-to-grey response time of 0.03 ms and a pixel on/off response time of 0.01 ms. The monitor supports NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync. The monitor has an anti-reflective coating and also reduces blue light. The AutoHDR offers a brightness of up to 1,000 nits and the panel covers 99% of the DCI-P3 color space.

In terms of connections, it offers two HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4 and USB Type-C. These connections are at the back, and there are also two USB-A ports and a headset port and the control buttons at the front.

A price has not yet been set and no fixed release date has been announced yet, it will probably be launched in 2023. In any case, Corsair presented one of the gamescom 2022 highlights for me here. It’s an open question whether you need a monitor that you can bend, but in terms of technology alone, it’s a really cool monitor and definitely a real eye-catcher.
