When it comes to the iPhone store, SE is the first name that comes to mind, but did you know that there are devices that give you a bigger screen, bigger battery, secondary camera, Face ID, swipe navigation and more for just one fee slightly higher? ?
The mysterious device we have in mind is the iPhone 11, with a slightly higher selling price than the iPhone SE 3.
In this article, we discuss the differences between the two in detail and discuss the pros and cons of each model. In the end, this will help you decide which of the two suits your needs better!
So, don’t waste time and have a look in more detail…
Difference between iPhone SE (2022) vs iPhone 11:
- SE is more compact and lighter
- iPhone 11 has a bigger screen
- iPhone 11 has Face ID, SE 3 has Touch ID
- iPhone 11 has an ultra wide camera
- iPhone 11 has swipe navigation, iPhone SE has buttons
- SE is cheaper
- SE is newer, will receive software updates later
Design and Display Quality
The first and perhaps most notable difference is simply the size of the two: the 4.7-inch iPhone SE looks small compared to the larger, thicker, and overall larger iPhone 11 with a 6.1-inch screen.
That’s quite a difference in size and weight, don’t you think? Compact phone lovers will be delighted with the SE!
In terms of practicality, both have water and dust protection, but the iPhone 11 actually has a higher IP68 certification than the IP67 rating on the SE (meaning the iPhone 11 can withstand deeper drops, theoretically).
If you don’t mind a bigger phone, the iPhone 11 gives you a much more useful 6.1-inch display compared to the SE’s smaller 4.7-inch display.
Unfortunately, both phones sport LCD screens, one of the compromises of the budget iPhone. Both are also fairly low resolution, so if you look closely, you’ll notice a bit of pixelation. And of course, don’t expect anything beyond a 60Hz refresh rate here.
Display measurements and quality
On the biometric front, having the older Touch ID technology on the SE might actually prove more popular in these Covid times when wearing a mask is still a must in many places, while the iPhone 11 relies on Face ID.
Performance and Software
Apple has a bit of an obsession with speed and performance, and that’s great because the iPhone SE 3 is actually faster than the iPhone 11!
That’s of course due to the age of phones: the SE is just out of 2022, while the iPhone 11 launched in 2019.
Under the hood, the SE is powered by Apple’s latest A15 Bionic processor, and this A15 chip is no joke. This will be relevant for years to come. At the same time, if you’re not obsessed with benchmarks, the reality is that for typical day-to-day tasks, both phones seem to work well and you probably won’t notice the difference in the processor right away. It takes a more challenging task to reward the faster chips in SE.
When it comes to software, the SE has the edge as a newer phone, whereas the iPhone 11 is now a few years old. Practically speaking, this means the SE will continue to get updates for several years longer than the iPhone 11.
The SE sticks with a single rear camera compared to the dual camera system on the iPhone 11, where the second is an ultra-wide shooter that’s often useful for tight spaces.
However, with the faster A15 chip inside the SE, it has a few tricks the iPhone 11 doesn’t have like Photography Style for example, as well as the Smart HDR 4 engine which also improves color, contrast and noise.

The difference is obviously very small when it comes to photos taken during the day, but what about night photos?
The absence of a night mode on the iPhone SE 3’s main camera, however, is very noticeable in the image above.
Audio Quality and Haptics
The SE’s smaller form factor does limit how loud it can sound. We’d say that the sound quality is pretty comparable between the two, and neither of them are the best performers that will blow your mind.
There’s no headphone jack on either phone, again, this isn’t a surprise.
Battery Life and Charging
One of the main limitations of the iPhone SE’s design is that it’s so slim and mini that you can’t fit a giant battery inside. There is no such problem on iPhone 11!
Apple officially measures battery life in hours of continuous video playback, and here are the battery numbers for the new iPhone SE vs iPhone 11.
As you can see, the SE is not far behind the 11, but behind. And especially with audio playback times, which usually suit casual use as well.
The maximum charging speed on both phones is around 18 watts, and we recommend getting an official 20W Apple charger. It is always wise to stick with official chargers or proven alternatives.
Both the SE and 11 also support wireless charging, and neither does the newer magnetic MagSafe standard.
However, if you ask on a purely emotional level, you’ll probably hear a lot of people want a really compact phone and the SE is just that. Plus, it’s cheaper, and the battery life isn’t that bad anymore.
So… which one: iPhone SE (2022) or iPhone 11?
- Apple Mulai Razia Aplikasi Jadul Di App Store
- Iphone Mulai Beraksi Gerogoti Pasar Android Di seluruh Dunia
For someone who spends a lot of time on their phone, the iPhone 11 seems like a more reasonable choice, if only for longer battery life, but also has other advantages such as a larger screen, gesture navigation and ultra-wide camera.
However, if you ask on a purely emotional level, you’ll probably hear a lot of people want a really compact phone and the SE is just that. Plus, it’s cheaper, and the battery life isn’t that bad anymore. And it has buttons. It’s nostalgic.
